Hot Backup Designed for VMware® ESX Server
esxRanger SE, allows users to perform a bare-metal restore of virtual disks, and is recognized as the industry standard hot backup tool for the VMware ESX Server guest operating systems. esxRanger SE will create point-in-time backups of VMware ESX Server guest operating systems. This is a very important step in your backup, change control and disaster recovery strategy. esxRanger SE has made it easy to backup online VMware ESX Server guest operating systems (.VMDK files). These backups are compressed and can be sent anywhere on the WAN for disaster recovery needs. Adding the file-level data backups to this point-in-time image completes a confident disaster recovery methodology for the virtual machines.
Compress VMware .VMDK files
esxRanger SE will compress your disks .VMDK files before sending them to the destination server of your choice. This destination server can be the local ESX Server VMFS, a Linux server or a Windows server. NAS, SAN, Novell, UNC and mapped drives are also supported if accessible by the Windows host. Restore on any ESX Server esxRanger SE provides a full image restore to any VMware ESX Server without needing to know the prior configuration. esxRanger SE will reduce or eliminate the need create manual installs and configurations to the backup image. Because the image is compressed and all configuration is included in the full image, restores are efficiently relocated and up and running fast. |
